Electricians in London

Phone numbers for electricians covering London — EICR, consumer units and rewires. Open a profile and call the business yourself. This site does not send your job.

A consumer-unit or rewire quote should name the testing that will be left with you. NICEIC or NAPIT appears only when it is on the profile. A card that says London may be based in Croydon, Ilford or Harrow. Ask which borough they will actually drive to, and whether the congestion charge and a parking bay are inside the figure. Profiles show a name, the area they cover and a phone number. Public qualifications such as Gas Safe or NICEIC appear only when they are on the profile. Read the cost notes for a sourced national range; a figure on a card is not a quote.

Typical electrical costs

Published 2026 electrical guides put a typical three-bed EICR at about £180–£280 and a consumer-unit change at about £450–£900, with remedial work extra. Checked 15 February 2026. Mansion-block risers and a landlord's supply are a different job from a house consumer unit. Ask who isolates the lateral main, and whether the EICR includes the communal hallway.

A local rule to check in London

Notifiable electrical work in an English dwelling is covered by Part P. A listing here is a name and a number, not a building-control notice and not a guarantee from this site.

Questions before you phone

How do I find electricians in London on this list?

Islington still has butterfly roofs over narrow returns, and a mansion block in Maida Vale hides the soil stack in a riser you cannot see from the street. Basement flats often need a long flue run before a boiler can stay where it is. Names, service areas and phone numbers sit on the cards. Open a profile and call the firm yourself. A card that says London may be based in Croydon, Ilford or Harrow. Ask which borough they will actually drive to, and whether the congestion charge and a parking bay are inside the figure.

Does this page send my job to a London electrical firm?

No. You place the call. This site does not email or text anyone on your behalf.

What should the written price say for electrical in London?

The certificate should say whether remedial work in the landlord's riser is excluded. A figure that only covers the flat will not touch the communal board.

What is easy to miss before booking in London?

Party-wall notices and a suspended bay are the usual extras on a terrace. Conservation streets in a borough such as Kensington can stop a flue from leaving the front elevation.
