Who runs this trades directory

UK Trades Directory is a public list of local tradespeople in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Bristol. Cost notes, grant rules and calculators sit beside those lists. It is not a booking desk.

What the site does

You can find a roofer, plumber, electrician or other local tradesperson by city, read typical UK costs and Boiler Upgrade Scheme rules, run five calculators in the browser, and open a profile to use the phone number, email or website printed there.

What the site does not do

It does not create accounts or let businesses claim a listing from the public site.
It does not send your job to tradespeople or promise a reply.
It does not certify, insure or rank businesses with badges this site invented.
It does not collect listings from Google Maps.

Where listings come from

Listings are compiled from Companies House filings in relevant construction SICs, public qualification registers, trade-association directories and manual entry.

Operator

The registered business name, postal address and VAT number belong in the footer once they are supplied. Until then that block is left reserved rather than filled with a invented company.
